Kara loves the idea of Becky and Mark being together. Mark is unsure about the idea and questions the strange things that happen while around Vincent and Kara.

It’s not one of the best books I’ve read by Christopher Pike. It was sort of hard to follow. It for surely isn’t the worse book I’ve read by him. I liked the character of Mark. He’s an all around good guy and I like books where guys are actually nice.

I would recommend this book to people who like Christopher Pike. It’s just another one down the list. Hopefully they will be able to follow is better than I did.

“Brian’s Winter” by Gary Paulsen

This month, one of the books i read was “Brian’s Winter” by Gary Paulsen. It is the second book in a series about a boy who is flying in a plane over the Canadian wilderness and his plane goes down. The first book is called “Hatchet” and he just has to survive on his own with barely anything, except the clothes on his back and a hatchet that his mother gave him. “Brian’s Winter” is continuing Hatchet and is about him trying to survive during winter. I really like the series and i recommend them to anyone who likes survival books and books about camping/the forest. I give this book a 8.5 out of 10.

Pendragon Book Seven: The Quillan Games

It is a big city filled with sky scrapers. Bobby Pendragon arrives in the territory, and finds a corrupt society. He takes it upon himself to win the Quillan Games so he can over throw the ruthless game masters and save this territory. The prize for winning? Finding out what it truely means to be a traveler.

This book was a nice piece by MacHale, probably the most exciting, page turning, suspenseful book in the series. If you like a book where you can be hooked from the first page, this is a book for you. Another nice thing, is that you can read this book without reading the rest of the books in this series, MacHale always gives you good hints as to whats going on, so you wont be totally lost. I do however suggests reading the whole series because all the books are great page turners, and perfect for any action, thrill seeking teens and adults.

“Under the Dome” by Stephen King (and Fahrenheit 451 By Ray Bradbury)

so i read the remaining 500 pages (give or take a few pages) of “Under the dome” by Stephen King and i read the first 500 pages last month so if you want to know what that book is all about, then you can take a look at my last blog which is four or five (maybe six) blogs down. since i already summarized that book for you, i am just going to do a summary for “Fahrenheit 451” By Ray Bradbury.

This month, i read a science fiction novel called “Fahrenheit 451” By the author Ray Bradbury. The story starts with Guy Montag, who is a local fireman in his city, lighting a house on fire with kerosine and watching it burn. In Montag’s time (which is a not so distant future) books are illegal to read and own. no body thinks about how stuff works and they just go through life without knowing what’s going on around them. But then Guy meets a girl who does think about stuff and why that stuff is the way it is. She starts to make Montag think about the same stuff like how it works and everything. i think this book is really really good because of the amount of metaphors and descriptive words are used throughout the whole book. it is really interesting to see what kind of future Ray Bradbury predicted because a lot of it was right. so i definitely recommend this book to any one who likes to think A LOT about what they are reading and try to piece together everything. i give it a score of 8.6 out of 10.

Die Softly.

The author of this book is Christopher Pike. He is one of my favorite authors and I have read many of his books like Last Act, Slumber Party, and Master of Murder. The books I have read of his, including this one have the genre of Mystery. They are kind of the typical “You Know Who The Bad Guy Is” because there are mostly teenage crimes in the stories. The murders are a bit creepy none the less. The main character in this book is named Herb.

This particular story is about Herb. He’s very interested in cameras and decides it would be a good idea to put his camera in the girls locker room. He intends on taking pictures of naked girls. He would then go back and get the filmed developed on Friday. That Friday there is a car accident and a girl dies. Later that Friday Herb gets his film developed and sees the very girl on camera with a dark figure creeping behind her. He thinks that the dark figure could be the cause of her death because it was shown before the car accident. He then goes on an investigation to figure out who the dark figure is and if it had to do with her murder.

I like this book because I was wondering the whole time. At times when I read Christopher Pike’s book I already know the ending. But this particular book I was sort of wondering the whole time. I had my theories throughout the book though.

I wouldn’t recommend this book to younger people. The context isn’t too bad but the story is based on a guy trying to secretly take pictures of naked girls. I would however recommend this to people who enjoy more adult like teenage mysteries. Many of Christopher Pikes books have a good plot, including Die Softly.

Clockwork Prince

Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare is the second in the series the Infernal Devices. She also wrote another series, The Immortal Instruments. The Clockwork Prince is the continuation of the story of a girl named Tessa Grey. It takes place in England around the 1800’s. Previoulsy Tessa has dsicovered the secret world of Shadow Hunters, a race with the responsibilty to protect the ‘mundanes’ from demons. This race believes that they were created with angel blood and they have to stop demons, they feel this also includes Down Worlders, people/creatures with demon blood.

This book is fast paced and really interesting. It has love, hate, betrayal, fighting, drugs, automatons, and so many other things. I wish I could say more, but I don’t want to give away the first book. The first book in this series is The Clockwork Angel. If my review sounds even a little bit interesting, then please check it out in the library. And for everyone who already read this book, good news! The third one, Clockwork Princess, comes out in September!

I’d reccommend this book to anyone who liked Cassandra Clare’s first series or who likes fantastical adventures.

Prodigal son

I read the book “prodigal son” by Dean Koontz. The genre for this book is definitely thriller/mystery. Dean Koontz is an amazing author, and tells a great story in this book. Prodigal son is the first book in a series of five, and it definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout the book. The story is about a serial killer, and a scientist. It is told in different points of view by chapter. So one chapter will be from a police mans point of view, and the next chapter it will change to the point of view of the serial killer. This is a fast paced book and will keep you interested throughout, I couldnt put it down. I recommend this book to anyone, it will keep you wanting to read!
